and it rains a lot, we have a problem in our neck of woods!
The owner of the Cherry Orchard just across the street gets in his helicopter and using the propellers from his helicopter blows the water off of the cherries on the tree.
For any of you who are asking WHY? Well, if the cherries get too wet, they split and then they are unable to sell those ones. So, in order to have a good crop, he needs to blow the water off of his cherries. Some farmers have tractors that pull large fans, but this man just uses his helicopter. I tried to get it on tape, but by the time I thought to do that, he was done and gone! So far this year hasn't been too bad. He has only came out once. Last year he was out for three days in a row and didn't care what time it was! (3 a.m. Sunday morning :() If he comes out again, I will try to get a video, but for know enjoy the pics I got!!!!
