Diorama
Lizzy is in 3rd Grade and as a 3rd Grader they are asked to do a report and a Diorama on an Indian Tribe. At first we wanted the Cherokee Tribe, since Bo's side of the family has Cherokee. But, it was already taken. So after a few phone calls to grandparents, we found out that Bo's side of the family also has Seminole. So, Lizzy asked her teacher if she could do her report, etc., on the Seminole Tribe and she said yes. We found lots of information on them. Lizzy had fun learning about what they did, ate, hunted, etc. Our last part of the project was making a Diorama! They were not allowed to use any plastic figurines so everything had to be molded. We started last Friday by making the floor and molding a few things. We finished the project on Tuesday night. Lizzy and Bo spent several hours together, painting and building the hut or "checkee" that Seminole Indian's lived in! It was GREAT to see them spend time together and learn from each other. Here is the finished project! Not bad!!!!
Seminole Inidans eventually moved to the Florida Everglades. So that is why you see an Alligator and a Snake! Bo molded the alligator and painted him. He is an AWESOME artist!!!

What if . . . .
What if you were in an accident? What if . . . ., What if . . . .? This is what we talked about at Scouts yesterday. What if something happened? We invited a local EMT to come and talk to the boys. He talked to them about what to do if you or someone else was in an accident at home, in the water, on ice or in a car. He did a GREAT job and the boys were totally intrigued and asked lots of questions and also told lots of stories!!!! It was very informative and WE all learned a lot. When the EMT was done, we took a field trip to our local Bus Garage. Here our Transportation Supervisor and two bus drivers talked to the boys about what do if you were in an accident on a bus.

They did GREAT and the boys learned how to evacuate the bus from the front and the rear. They also learned what to do if your bus stalls on the freeway and where to stand. I love to see these boys learn and grow!!!!
For our wonderful Missionaries! Beautiful, sunshiny day today again!!! The weather has been wonderful and we are thinking about turning off the stove downstairs! Temperature has been in the high 50s to low 60s!
Bo's first baseball games are today and tomorrow here in town. He is super excited. We are all going to watch tonight!
Lizzy is busy working on her Indian report and diarama. We should finish it this weekend. Mikki, well she is Mikki! Loves school and counting to 100!!! Brylee can write her Bs and thinks that is so cool! Me, well I am enjoying the peace and quiet this morning and cleaning up the house. We clean again tomorrow and Friday!!! Love you and miss you!!!!

Little League Wrestling
Little League Wrestling has started. This is Kathy's boy, Justin. Last Friday was their first tournament at home. We went hoping to get to see Blake wrestle for the first time, but he was sick and couldn't make it. Unfortunately, we did not get to see Justin wrestle either. He informed me that he won one and lost one. Hopefully we will get to see them both wrestle soon! GOOD LUCK BOYS!!!

Mouse vs. Dyson
Okay, so on Friday I was doing a little cleaning, and decided to move the sectional in the eatery to vacuum underneath it and find all the toys that had been pushed all the way to the back. So, I had all the different pieces scattered around the room. I was standing next to the biggest piece thinking about whether or not to rearrange the furniture to make room for our flat screen tv that we were going to be getting out of storage. When, much to my suprise, I looked down at the biggest piece and this is what was sticking it's little head out between the cushion and the back of the couch!
Yep, you guessed it a mouse!!! I screamed ran in the house and called Bo at work. Later that evening we finally decided that we had better face this little mouse and the problem he was going to cause if we didn't catch him. So, out to the eatery we went. Bo went straight to the piece where I told him the mouse was. (I, of course, at this point was having Washington Mouse flashbacks!!! See earlier post almost a year ago!) Bo moved one cushion. Nothing. Then he moved the next and there the little bugger was. Bo yelled at me to hand the suction nozzle of the vacuum. I did as I was ordered. Handed him the nozzle, turned on the vacuum, and . . . .
. . . . . sssswwwooooooosssshhhh . . . . THUMP!!!! Bo had vacuumed that mouse right up!!! We started to laugh so hard! We ran outside and dumped him in the garbage.
Once we removed the cushion, we discovered his nest that he had been making. Then, in one of the other sectional pieces we discovered a whole dish of dog food, sugar babies and other small pieces of candy that this mouse had been storing!!! I HATE mice and will remember this "mouse experience" for a very long time!!!!

Farewell . . .
We have to be one of the most blessed families ever!!! Mom and Dad were set a part last night as Missionaries for the LDS church. We are so proud of them. The blessings were extremely comforting. It was a spiritual night and there were many tears shed, but they were joyful tears at understanding the blessings that are coming our way because of these two AWESOME individuals. I am so proud to call them my MOM and DAD!!!
It was very rough to see them drive away this morning and there were lots of tears shed again. But, we are so excited for the phone call that says that they made it and to hear all the wonderful stories they are going to be able to share!
WE LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD AND ARE SO BLESSED AND PROUD OF YOU!!!
