May 28, 2010 . . . Part 1

On Thursday as soon as the girls got out of school and Bo got off work, we headed to Missouri to see Mom and Dad. But this was our summer vacation and so we decided to do some site seeing on our way.
First Stop . . . Martin's Cove and Devil's Gate, Wyoming. When we arrived at Martin's Cove the wind was blowing. After walking through the visitor's center one of the Missionaries asked me if I knew the Holgate's. I did and so we searched them out and Sister Holgate gave a tour of the grounds! What a GREAT thing for my girls!!!!!
Part of the Cove.

Cute, Cute Girls!!!!!
The girls also received their very own Prairie Diamonds here at Martin's Cove. They thought they were so neat!!!!

Devil's Gate. We didn't hike down there 'cause the wind was blowing so hard. It is not that far from home so we have decided to go back again some time and take the hike down to Devil's Gate and then to Martin's Cove.

It was a GREAT way to start our vacation!!!!!

We stopped there a couple times when we were in Casper for grad school stuff (when we thought we were moving there). That's where we discovered that we each had ancestors in the same wagon train. It is a really cool place!
